Taniya comes to Kolkata to meet Priya and finds that Priya still loves only Jeet. Based on Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic Valmiki Prathibha, directors Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee (whose first Bengali movie Icche had a successful run) present a unique film that involves inmates in a penitentiary. The film also stars Rituparna Sengupta, Nigel Akkara, Bratya Basu, Debshankar Halder, Kharaj Mukherjee and more. Muktadhara stars prison inmates and tries to make a difference. One of the biggest stars of the Indian Bengali movie is undoubtedly Suchitra – a speech and hearing impaired girl who somehow managed to dub her own scenes in the film, as Shiboprosad Mukherjee points out nobody knows how she did it and it is probably a first in cinema.
